Bruce Headlam is the co-creator and co-host of Broken Record, the music podcast featuring Malcolm Gladwell (The Tipping Point, Outliers, David and Goliath), the producer Rick Rubin (Run DMC, Beastie Boys, Tom Petty, Johnny Cash) and a collection of guests including Questlove, Andre3000, Rosanna Cash, Nile Rodgers, Mary Gauthier, Rufus Wainwright and David Byrne. Before Broken Record, Bruce was an editor for 19 years at The New York Times, where he created the Media Desk (which was featured in the full-length documentary Page One: A Year Inside The New York Times), ran the Times Video Desk and edited in the Opinion section. Under his guidance, journalists have won many awards, including two Pulitzer Prizes, one for coverage of the Ebola crisis in Africa and another for coverage of Syrian refugees in the United States. Originally for a small town in Canada, Mr. Headlam now works and lives in Brooklyn.
