Eric Baptiste is one of the world's most accomplished music industry leaders. Under his direction since 2010, SOCAN – the Society of Composers, Authors & Music Publishers of Canada – has grown revenues, membership base and the number of organizations licensed to use music substantially. He has influenced broadcast media and cultural policy, and promoted new talent around the world. In 2016, Baptiste became president of the boards of SOCAN's wholly-owned subsidiaries, Audiam and MediaNet, and worked for eight years in radio in France, including as General Manager of RFI (French public international radio); CEO of the radio station, 95.2 Paris; and Director General of CISAC, the International Confederation of Societies of Authors & Composers, with which he now serves as nonexecutive Chairperson of the board. In 2017, he was named to Billboard magazine's list of 53 International Power Players.
