Seth Goldsrein

Seth Goldstein is Director of Business & Legal Affairs at MediaNet (formerly known as MusicNet) in New York, a digital music services company which provides rights, technology and content to digital music distributors. Seth’s primary areas of practice are music, technology and intellectual property law.

As head of MediaNet’s legal department, Seth is responsible for all legal aspects of the company’s digital music distribution platform and services, and has worked on download, streaming and subscription music services. Seth has worked with companies of all sizes on their music initiatives from large multinational corporations such as Microsoft, Samsung, MTV and Yahoo, to startups such as MOG, Songza and Turntable.fm, as well as record labels, music publishers and performing rights organizations on behalf of MediaNet’s customers.

Seth's previous experience includes internships with the legal department at Sony Music Entertainment, Ritholz Levy Sanders Chidekel & Fields, and Cowan De Baets Abrahams & Shepperd. Seth also worked as a paralegal at Morvillo Abramowitz Grand Iason & Anello PC, and with artists such as Jack Johnson, Ben Harper, Run DMC, George Clinton and Blues Traveler.

Seth received his J.D. from the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law with a concentration in intellectual property, and is admitted to practice in New York State. He received his Bachelor of Science from Brandeis University.
